The Western Reserve Artist Blacksmith Association will sponsor a Hammer In at the Sauer Blacksmith Shop in Sonnenberg Village on Saturday July 20th beginning at 9:00 am. All Blacksmiths are invited, as well as anyone interested in demonstrations.
Blacksmiths have been working in the Village during this past winter and spring to bring the blacksmith shop alive and operational again after 50 years since Flood Sauer ceased operations. The forge will be fired again for the first time in 50 years and various blacksmiths will create items using the forge and various other pieces of equipment.
At approximately noon, operations will stop while a potluck meal is shared. Admission is free, but if you wish to share in a meal, you will need to bring a dish to share.
